The 27-year-old man linked to the murder of six patrollers at Marry Me informal settlement in Soshanguve, Pretoria, has abandoned his bail application.
He appeared in the Pretoria North Magistrates’ Court facing 16 counts, including murder, premeditated murder and possession of an unlicensed firearm.
His co-accused has not been linked to the crime but is charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition.
NPA spokesperson Lumka Mahanjana says the matter was postponed for further investigation.
“On 22 March 2025, the man allegedly killed six patrollers in Soshanguve and attempted to kill others. After abandoning his release on bail, the matter was postponed to the 17th of April for further investigations.”
